Privacy Policy — Habitum
Last Updated: February 22, 2026
Habitum respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and what your options are. Habitum is designed based on a simple principle: collect no personally identifiable information and store your habit data directly on your device.
1. Personal Data
Habitum does not collect data that allows us to directly identify you (such as name, email, or phone number). However, to enable the operation of paid services (subscriptions), we use technical identifiers:
- Installation ID: A unique, anonymous identifier generated upon installation to distinguish your device.
- Transaction ID: An anonymous token provided by Apple or Google to validate your subscription.
We do not require any user account and do not sync your habits to our servers.
2. Third-Party Services
To ensure the proper functioning and improvement of the application, Habitum uses the following service providers:
2.1 Usage Analytics (PostHog Cloud)
We use PostHog to understand how the application is being used. Data is anonymized (e.g., "a user clicked on 'Add a habit'"). We never transmit the content of your habits or your personal notes.
2.2 Subscription Management (RevenueCat)
To manage Premium access and subscriptions, we use RevenueCat.
- What is transmitted: An anonymous identifier and your purchase status (e.g., "User X has an active subscription").
- What is NOT transmitted: Your name, banking details, or your real identity.
RevenueCat acts as a data processor to allow us to restore your purchases on a new device.
2.3 Payments (Apple App Store / Google Play Store)
All financial transactions are handled exclusively by Apple or Google. Habitum never has access to your credit card numbers or billing information. Please refer to the privacy policy of the corresponding Store (Apple or Google) for more details.
3. Data Storage
All data related to your progress (habits, history, statistics, settings) is:
- Stored locally on your device.
- Not transmitted to our servers.
- Permanently deleted when you uninstall the application (unless you perform a system backup of your phone).
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. Sharing is strictly limited to the technical tools mentioned in Section 2 for the operation of the application.
5. Security
Although your data remains on your device, we attach great importance to the security of technical exchanges with our providers (HTTPS encryption). You are responsible for the physical and software security of your device (lock code, etc.).
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Since we do not collect nominative data, we do not possess any files allowing us to identify you.
- Right of access and erasure: You exercise this right by managing or deleting your data directly in the application settings or by uninstalling the application.
- Subscription management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple or Google account settings.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect technical or regulatory changes. The "Last Updated" date will be updated accordingly.
